FAQ
Questions, answered.
What is Boo?+
Boo are credits for voice calls with AI tutors (3 Boo a minute) and speaking seats in live classes. You get 50 when you join, earn more by practising, and can buy packs from $6.99. Chatting with AI tutors is free.
Do I need Plus?+
No. Plus ($9.99 a month) gives you 100 minutes of AI tutor calls free every month; after that, calls use Boo as usual. Everything else works without it, and you can cancel any time.
How do lessons with human tutors work?+
Each tutor sets their own price for a 50-minute lesson, and a 25-minute trial is half price. Pick a time that suits you, pay by card when you book, and meet in Vaboo’s video classroom.
Is Vaboo safe for children?+
Turn on kids’ mode: no messages or bookings with real people, no buying, at most 20 minutes of AI calls a day, and AI tutors that keep it simple and child-friendly. A 4-digit PIN turns it off.
How do in-person lessons work?+
ID-checked tutors teach at public places like cafés and libraries. You book and pay on Vaboo and check in when you arrive. Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe to start.
Can I teach on Vaboo?+
Yes. Applying is free, our team reviews your profile within about 48 hours, and you keep 85% of every lesson.
